What happens after I apply?

Once we receive your request, our Hardship Team will review your application. Each application is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

We may request that you provide us with information to support your application. Any information you provide helps us to tailor an arrangement which is relevant to your circumstances. After our Hardship Team finishes their assessment, they will let you know the outcome of your application in writing.

How long can I receive hardship assistance for?

We will be able to provide you with short to medium term assistance if you are suffering hardship in order to assist you to get back on your feet.

Can someone assist me with my hardship application?

You can authorise a third party, such as a Financial Counsellor, to assist you to make your hardship application. You will need to sign an Authority to Act form to give them authorisation to speak with us.
