Victorian aged-care worker Stav Kazakos was able to get back behind the wheel with help from the Finance One car loan specialists.
After a late-night accident left her without a vehicle, Victoria-based aged-care worker Stav Kazakos found herself spending excessive amounts of money on taxis to get to and from work.
Starting late in the afternoon meant Stav had no choice but to rely on expensive private rides. The impact on her income was a double blow because it meant her weekly expenses were too high for her to qualify for a car loan with many lenders.
It was a catch-22 situation. Having a car would mean saving money on taxis. But spending money on taxis meant Stav might not get approved for a car loan.
That is, until Stav found Finance One.
“Every lender had rejected me, saying I didn’t earn enough money,” she explains. “I was without a vehicle for several months, but I finally came across Finance One on Facebook.”
Stav applied for a car loan so she could purchase a used Holden Astra and get back on the road.
After applying online and then speaking directly to members of the Finance One team, Stav was relieved to hear she could finally access the funds she needed to start driving to and from work again.
“Another thing holding back my applications had been a $27 unpaid debt from years ago that I wasn’t even aware of,” she explains, “I had paid it in full but it made getting a loan extra difficult.”
“I lost count of the lenders I applied with. I spoke to banks and had no luck.”
None of the requirements which prevented those other lenders from working with Stav were a problem for Finance One, who approved the loan within three days of her application.
“With Finance One It all went through easily enough once I supplied the required paperwork, I had my loan approved in 3 days” she says.
Back on the road
Being able to get to work is important to Stav, who really enjoys her aged care role.
“I love my job and my colleagues,” she explains. “We all love the residents and treat them like people.”
Stav experienced the same level of dedication from Finance One that she has for her own job. “They treated me like a person and I was so happy with the service,” Stav explains. “They were really friendly, they went out of their way and they helped me a lot.”
Now that she is able to drive her own car again and stop relying on expensive taxi rides, Stav says, “I would recommend Finance One to anyone”.
